THE KISS

I woke up to that muffled rustle,
As she walked in fresh and bright;
From shower, like a flower after drizzle.
My eyes still fighting the intruding light;

Could see her petite slender frame,
Through her hazy white translucent gown;
Taking soft steps, closer she came;
And bent, as her loose hair went down.

The water droplets on her wet hair,
That shimmered like misty morning dew;
Trickled gently down that black lair;
Onto my parched skin, making it new.

Her feather soft fingers, teased my lip;
Like a little girl  frisking her toy.
My fingers glided down that curvy hip;
Wanting to see that smile, so coy.

Her rose blossom lips grazed mine;
Making me feel the taste of bliss;
And there we laid, lips in twine;
Lost in that sweet ephemeral kiss.

THE WAIT

I walked on that lustrous sand,
As the sun kissed the seas;
With roses in my nervous hand;
Breaking a sweat in that breeze;

With each step closer to her,
My heart felt an extra beat.
As I came closer and closer,
I could hardly carry my feet.

There she was, still and calm;
Covered up in maples so new;
And basking in golden evening warm.
My lips murmured:"I love you!",

In a painful and husky tone;
Waiting long, for her to say.
She stayed still, under the stone;
"May be she'll say that someday",

I told myself, and walked away;
With salty tears, all the way.
